What
is a knit-along? Knit-alongs are usually held 90 minutes
prior to our normal monthly meeting. A small group
of interested knitters meets for two or three months
to learn a technique or work on a project. Often,
the group may provide each other support via e-mail
or telephone.
Prior
knit-along subjects have been: socks, double-knitting,
modular knitting, Medrith Glover's Circumnavigated
Cardigan, Lucy
Neatby's Radiant Shawl , Elizabeth
Zimmermann's Baby Surprise Sweater, Sunburst
Slingbag by justonemorerow.com, Chris
Bylsma's Crayon Box Jacket and Elizabeth
Zimmermann's Ribwarmer.
NEW
KNIT-ALONGS START

- fingerless mitts - These
have a twisted ribbing and a wave pattern (Nalu
is Hawaiian for wave) flows from the ribbing in
travelling stitches. Note: if you're
doing the large size, start ribbing with Kbl (knit
through back loop) rather than purl (as in the small
size). See
them here: Candy's

The Nalu fingerless mitts are a ravelry download,
